Pezlie

Pezlie is the daughter of Cherie and Tim. She was so named by Cherie because she was born inside a PEZ dispenser. She is the first Human to be born by a miniature Wallian.

History[]

Pezlie was conceived during Cherie's short-lived relationship with Tim. After Tim stabbed Cherie and threw her out of the Wall's hole into the backyard, Cherie found herself being forced to stay with The Duke inside a toy spaceship since a vicious possum was chasing them. As time passed The Duke started noticing signals that Cherie was pregnant such as her period being late and her throwing up. The Duke eventually brought it up but Cherie at first denied she was pregnant until she remembered her one night stand with Tim so to be sure The Duke performed a pregnancy test on her using the cream of a cadbury egg, which according to him was made with the same stuff used to make pregnancy tests and a sample of Cherie's urine. Cherie refused to believe this until he performed the test and it came out positive. At first Cherie freaked out but The Duke reassured her by promising they could get through it together and so he watched over Cherie and unborn Pezlie until his untimely death when he sacrificed himself to kill the possum that was preventing their escape to help her get to the Walgreens that were located in the next house. Cherie traveled through the backyard alone until she went into labor and was forced to seek refuge in a PEZ dispenser. As Cherie gave birth, Jesse picked up the dispenser and started eating the PEZ until she stopped right before she could see the mother and daughter since she claimed that "pez tastes like chalk" and threw the dispenser back on the ground. Using the Duke's jacket as a baby carrier, Cherie continued her journey until she reached the Walgreens. Unfortunately, it turned out that the place was just a shack with agressive dogs and a billboard on top of it and Cherie breaks down crying. While feeding her baby, Cherie decides that the only thing left to do for her child's safety is to go back to the Wall.

Three months later, Cherie made her way back into the Wall and kept Pezlie a secret from everyone except her friend Halk and the Bowinian Church, especially the lead nun Sister Sasha and her protege Sister Sisto, who took Cherie in and became Pezlie's babysitters when her mother sought to take Tim down and have him arrested as revenge for what he had done to her while Pezlie was usually hidden within the church with her mother or in Sister Sasha's arms.

At one point, Pezlie briefly met her father Tim when the latter was brought to the church by Cherie and Halk to cure him and have him arrested for his crimes, but Tim was already too ill due to lead poisoning and didn't acknowledge Pezlie at all. Tim eventually died without knowing he had a daughter.

After Tim's death, Cherie rejected being the new leader and instead started a council. Sister Sisto eventually took advantage of Cherie and Halk being away at a mission and betrayed both Cherie and Sister Sasha, the latter who is heavily implied to have been killed by Sisto. Now the new leader of the Bowinian Church, Sisto introduced Pezlie to the Wallians as a miracle child sent to them by Jesse with the plan of using Pezlie as a puppet queen and going so far as branding her with a bow shaped hot iron as part of Pezlie's "baptism" while her furious mother was dragged away by another nun.

Months later, Pezlie is renamed "Jessius" and worshipped as a divine being by the church's followers. The church uses Pezlie's existence to rally support, posting stained-glass images of Jesse cradling Pezlie and even baptizing the public with the contents of her diaper. However, they do not value Pezlie beyond her worth as a symbol, keeping her locked up in a "safety enclosure" (a toy cage from the Mouse Trap board game) when not using her for sermons and baptism.

When Cherie's "allies" wanted to kill Sister Sisto, not caring that Pezlie could be caught in the crossfire, Montez rescued Pezlie and mother and daughter were finally reunited with Pezlie saying her first word; "Mama". Since The Heathen Side had no regard for Pezlie's safety and fearing that she could be used again as a political prop, Cherie then decides that she and Pezlie must leave the Wall to keep the latter safe, with Montez joining them. Pezlie, Cherie and Montez then settle down in a tent in the backyard's sandbox and Pezlie learns to walk.

Sometime later, Pezlie moved with her mother and Montez to a cabin around a puddle and a tap and lived a peaceful life until Albert turned the sprinklers off, leaving the rest of the Yardians and animals to die. Cherie showed no concern for the rest of the Yardians and instead focused on raising Pezlie and keeping her safe. However, Cherie soon joined the battle to save Montez and Gavin, with Cherie giving Pezlie cough syrup to make her sleep and kept her hidden under her shield. Once the battle is over Cherie decides she doesn't want Pezlie to be raised thinking she should cower and hide and takes over as leader of the backyard.

Five months later, Pezlie, Cherie and Montez moved back into the Wall, with Nova serving as a sort of counselor for Cherie and helping care for Pezlie. When the Wallians team up to get Yumyulack's Shrink Gun and get big again, much to Cherie's joy as she wanted Pezlie to grow up in a safe enviroment but Yumyulack finds out, ruins their plans and taunts them by placing the gun on top of the TV, at the opposite side of the room. Later, Pezlie gets to meet the revived Ringo/The Duke after he returns to the Wall. Cherie refuses to give up on getting big again and forms a team of "Wallstronauts" and commands them to fly across the room and get the shrink gun but when they get a major case of food poisoning Cherie left Pezlie with Sofia and Mia and Cherie, Ringo, Montez, Nova and three other Wallians to travel across the room for the ray but once they reach the ray Yumyulack finds them and, after Cherie manages to blackmail him with some embarrassing videos Nomi found, he agrees to make the Wallians big until Yumyulack checks on the Wallians and finds out that since Pezlie was born miniaturized she cannot be made big since her cells could explode and kill her, causing Cherie to cry until Nova decides she doesn't want to be big again if it means leaving Cherie and Pezlie alone. Ringo and Montez then agree with her and they decide to lie to the rest of the Wall in order to keep them all small so that Pezlie can grow up in a community and Cherie commands Yumyulack to instead bring them vegetables, medicine and clean water among other things, to which he has no choice but to agree.

However, things take a turn for the worst and ninety years later the world has ended and the Solar Opposites are all dead on their ship. Pezlie's grandson, great grandson and other descendants of the original Wallians now live in a human skull and running out of food with only a cockroach to eat. When Pezlie's great grandson wonders why the world is like that an elderly Pezlie proceeds to tell the remaining Wallians about her mother and how she tried to make a better world for them.

Appearance[]

Pezlie is an infant girl with red hair and pale skin, with her hair being exactly like Cherie's but having Tim's skin complexion.

  • Pezlie was born with a tuft of red hair and wore nothing except for The Duke's jacket which doubled as a baby carrier for the first three months of her life.
  • In season three, she has a full head of hair and is dressed in a light blue onesie made out of a candy wrapper with a knot in the back of the neck.
  • As of season four, Pezlie has aged up, having longer hair just above her shoulders with a small fringe. She is able to stand up and move on her own and has a single tooth on the top of her mouth, because of being branded she has a bow shaped scar on her forehead often covered by her bangs. After being kidnapped she is dressed in a Bowinian Church uniform, consisting on a pink skirt with white dots, a grey/purple long sleeve sweater and a grey neck collar with a pink bow tied to it under her chin. After being rescued from the church, Pezlie wears a blue onesie identical to the one she wore before her kidnapping.
  • In season five, Pezlie has slightly longer hair tied in two pigtails and wears a dark blue dress with a pink heart on it.
  • As of season six, Pezlie wears a turquoise strapless dress with dark blue straps with a pink, yellow and dark blue overskirt, a dark blue necklace with yellow pendant and blue shoes and her hair is tied in two braided pigtails. As an elderly woman she wore a cloak, a necklace identical to the one she wore as a baby, short sleeved shirt, pink pants and flats. Her gray hair is tried in two pigtails and still has the bow-shaped scar on her forehead.

Personality[]

Since Pezlie is an infant little is known about her personality except that she seems to be calm most of the time and likes to smile and giggle a lot.

Trivia[]

  • Pezlie was born sometime during the winter around the holiday season but the exact date remains unknown.
  • If one year passed since Tim pushed Cherie off the Wall in the very early stages of pregnancy it can be assumed that Pezlie is around three months old by the time Cherie takes her to The Wall. This is confirmed in Pezlie's Character Sheets.
  • She likes being bounced but hates being rocked.
  • She drinks mouse milk but can't drink too much or she gets gassy.
  • In the season four teasers her fake name is spelled as "Jesse-ious" yet in one of the Bowinian Church's posters it is spelled "Jessius".
  • There seems to be an inconsistency regarding Pezlie's size.
  • Pezlie is similar to Hannah Bankhole from The Handmaid's Tale in the sense that they both got stolen from their mothers by religious fanatics and renamed.
